April at Old Town Books

Spring has arrived! In San Angelo, it’s actually starting to feel like Summer!

April is a huge month this year at OTB! We have Independent Bookstore Day Weekend on the horizon–the last weekend of the month. To celebrate our fifth IBD in business as San Angelo’s local independent bookstore, we have a ton of cool things happening in the store! Running from Friday April 26th through Saturday, April 27th (IBD), we will be featuring all of our on-going sales (40% off table, 50% off travel books, $5.00 patio books and $10.00 off select Out of Print t-shirts), plus 25% off all poetry books and Earth Day table selections,  AND 10% off everything in the store, not already on sale! There will also be refreshments both days of the event, and Story Time with guest reader, Peggy on Saturday at 11 AM!

We are also welcoming Beto O’Rourke to OTB at 6 PM on Thursday, April 25th! This is very exciting for us! Beto will be here to promote and sign the paperback release of his book, We’ve Got to Try. This will be a very full event, so RSVP now at 325-703-5151, staff@oldtownbookstx.com, or our Facebook and Instagram pages.

We have several new displays this month at OTB! We are kicking off April with National Poetry Month. All through the month of April, all poetry selections will be 25% off. Use coupon code “poetry” when shopping online to receive the discounted rate. Next time you’re in the store, write your own poem on one of our poetry leaves, and then add it to our “poet-tree!” This is one of our favorite yearly traditions at OTB!

We are also celebrating Earth Day (4/22)! We have curated a fun display of books for both children and adults all about what makes this planet of ours so beautiful and wonderful. You can find a full list of available books below.

We are also having a flash sale on all of our Out of Print brand t-shirts. These shirts feature many literary characters, books, and more. They are all priced at $10.00!
